ABOUT THE HISTORY IN MOTION BUS
As part of the San Antonio Express-News’ 150th anniversary in 2015, the Express-News and Ancira teamed up to create the History in Motion bus. The bus travels to area schools, where 4th-grade Texas history students get to see local and state history come alive through a colorful, interactive, educational – and FUN – traveling exhibit.
San Antonio Express-News turns 150
Since the San Antonio Express-News was founded in 1865, we’ve been honored and privileged to be the leading chronicler of our community – one of the founding cities of America. San Antonio is a city rich in diversity, passion, culture and history unlike any other. The Express-News observes its 150th anniversary in 2015 by celebrating our hometown’s unmatched heritage and glowing future with unique coverage and events throughout the year.
This is not the Express-News’ story alone, but a celebration of a city with a history stretching back another century and a half to 1718 and the mission that became the Alamo. San Antonio’s history also includes its influential place in the history of the state of Texas.
